Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability

The mission of the Department of Curriculum, Instruction and Accountability is to provide leadership and support to campus teachers and administrators to ensure student success through district initiatives, in collaboration and partnership with parents, teachers, administrators, and the community at large.

Our team consists of highly qualified educators who cater to the needs of ALL BISD students through high-quality instruction and scientific research-based curriculum in which they frequently monitor student progress through results-based academic decisions and students' data is used for placement, intervention, curriculum, and instructional goals and methodologies.

C & I plans, directs, and coordinates projects with staff involved in developing procedures, equipment, and techniques to solve district problems, using scientific research-based methods including but not limited to reviewing project operations to ensure coordination of efforts and timely submission of reports and analyzing reports to evaluate effectiveness of BISD projects."
